Brenda Cranford is now proudly entering her 29'th season as Owner and Artistic Director of BCSD where she serves as head instructor. She began her dance training at the age of three under the direction of Johnny Lawhon and Margie Watkins. She has studied with the dance department at Coker College and has also studied many summers at leading New York schools such as Steps and Broadway Dance Center. She has served as guest choreographer for many local pageants and events throughout the state. She has danced with the Duke Ellington Orchastra in the "SLIDE" tap intensive Finale which she has attended in NYC for three years. She has attented the NC Rythym Tap Festival the last four years and is the current director of the SC Tap Intensive. She has served as guest tap teacher at Coker College for the "SCAFORD" dance festival and is also choreographing and teaching tap at local studios in SC as a guest teacher. She is busy in her community by guest teaching and sharing her dance passion with local libraries, schools and camps. Her love for her students is what keeps her motivated and her desire to always strive for the best in a positive dance education. She believes Dance is a mountain that you can always keep climbing. Her motto is "When I stop learning, I will stop teaching".
Lynn has served as Instructor with our school for the complete 29 years. Lynn has over 30 years teaching experience and has many years of dance experience. Lynn has won numerous awards for baton and modeling over the years and was awarded the prestigious Cover Girl USA award in 1972. Lynn is currently the Branch manager at Bank of America in Hartsville as well as teaching at our studio. She is very dedicated to the purpose of BCSD which is to provide only the best for our studnets. She brings with her award winning dance and teaching expertise to our school for another great season.
Lenora will be returning to our studio for her sixth season and is a graduate of Coker College with a degree in Social Work and Dance. LeNora has much experience in all phases of tap, jazz, ballet and hip hop. LeNora is a favorite among the students and parents because of her lovable personality. She is formally a spirit dancer for the Florence Phantoms and cheerleader for Coker College. She is from Virginia where she was an instructor and student at the Gina Johnson Dance Academy. She is currently employed with the United States Army and working out of Fort Jackson, SC. She plans to teach with us once weekly this fall. We could not keep things running smoothly without her and are so grateful for her dedication to our students!
Alicomes to us from a small town south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has been dancing for the past 17 years and has performed all over the country in such places as: Las Vegas, New York City, and in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Orlando, Florida. Ali is currently a sophomore at Coker College, majoring in Dance Performance/ Choreography and Movement Science. Ali has been trained extensively in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, and Musical Theater, but she excels in Hip Hop, Jazz, and Acrobatics. Ali recently became a company member to the professional dance company, The Wanda Project. Ali is so excited to be a part of the BCSD team and looks forward to an amazing year.

STAFF BIOS
Tracee is a former student of BCSD who is a graduate of USC with a major in Journalism and a minor in Dance. We have so enjoyed her being back at BCSD and serving as a regular Instructor. She is a former dance competitor with the BCSD Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap Teams and is very versatile in all areas of dance and enjoys working with all ages of dance students. Tracee is also associated with Hartsville Furniture Company in the Sales and design department. She will be a full time Instructor with BCSD this season where she is now entering her third year as part of our Staff. We are looking forward to a great season with her!
Meagan is an upcoming sophmore at Coker College where she will be studying with the dance department. She is no stranger to BCSD as she has been a guest assistant to our competition teams. She is a classical trained ballet dancer who is proficient in all areas of dance with modern, lyrical and ballet her strengths. She is a former student of Coastal Ballet Academy in Myrtle Beach and is a protege of Christopher Robbins. She is a professional member of "Eclatez" a professional dance company that continues to train and perform in the Southeast. She is dancing professionaly during the summer months at Freestyle Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach. We look forward to Megan joining us again for her second season!
Christopher has been an important part of BCSD for the past 6 years as he has been a guest choreographer and technique teacher. We are so excited that Christopher will be the director of our competition jazz teams for the upcoming season! He is a well-known performer, choreographer and dance artist who is in much demand across the South. He has worked for Disney and many Commerical Cruise Lines as a dancer/perfomer as well as many commercials and dance companies in the US. He recently ended an amazing 6 month run as a featured dancer at the Alabama Theatre in "ONE". He is currently working for many dance studios in SC as a guest choreographer and teacher as well as serving as a dance competition judge for ENCORE dance competitions. Kimberly Carr is the newest member of BCSD where she is our administrative assistant. She is a graduate of Francis Marion University where she received a BA in education. She is a former dance student and competitor at our studio and is no stranger to all the aspects involved aty BCSD. She is also employed with T & T Tractor Company in the accounting department. We have enjoyed having her keep things running smoothly at our front desk.
